Sexual and reproductive health

We organised 12 educational workshops in 4 schools in Uvira city. The workshops provided education on the management of menstrual hygiene for girls and women who are victims of flooding caused by torrential rains and who are housed in accommodation sites. Those who attended the workshops were trained how to make and use reusable sanitary napkins. The association also distributed dignity kits to these girls. An awareness campaign to mark International Menstrual Hygiene Day on May 28, 2023 was organized in the Meeting Room of the Kabindula District, in the town of Uvira. This activity brought together 45 people including 30 girls, 10 teachers and community officials.
